Oléron Island has over 160 km of bike paths, making it a great place for biking. You can explore the different landscapes at your own pace, like marshes, the seaside, and forests, without needing a car.
Just follow the signs that are carefully placed along the paths.
You can easily reach the Chassiron Lighthouse starting from Saint-Denis d'Oléron without ever having to put your feet on the ground.
You'll ride through the beautiful Saumonards forest and check out the salt marshes in the south of Oléron. Feeling hungry ? There are plenty of picnic areas where you can take a little break during your ride.
And if you're worried about getting tired, don't worry because the terrain is flat! The bike paths are suitable for everyone, even if you're not an experienced cyclist.
